Kate Heald

Kate Heald is a watercolor painter with a love of nature. Her work often depicts florals, fauna and landscapes with emphasis on light and color. Inspired by travel, gardens and everyday life, she snaps photos and sketches images constantly. Kate has been passionate about painting since she was a child. Her teachers Margaret Kalustian and Vaino Kola were significant influencers of her artistic development. After enjoying many years working as a marketing professional in the high-tech sector, Kate left the corporate world to raise her children.  Today she has found the time to explore her artwork more deeply. A highlight of her week is painting with the Watercolor Connection.  Kate holds a B.A. from Wheaton College, where she studied studio art and art history. She has exhibited her works in numerous solo and group exhibitions, received various awards and grants, and is represented in collections throughout New England and the broader United States.
